This year we have moved our annual Fall Bash Tournament to June 14, and it will now be called Summer Slam! The new tournament will use the same format as Fall Bash. This is still a team tournament, two people per team.
As with Fall Bash, Summer Slam will take place at the North East River Anchor Marina in Maryland. The boat launch will take place at 6:00am, and the weigh-ins will be held at 2:00pm. After weigh-ins, tournament participants will have the opportunity to test their casting skills in the Shimano casting competition!
We will once again be giving away thousands of dollars in cash prizes for the tournament. Last year at Fall Bash, John and Johnny Martin crushed the competition, pulling in a total catch of 24.21lbs., including the tournament lunker at 6.72 lbs.! Their prize money came in at well over $2,000. We are hoping to give away even more money at Summer Slam. We moved the tournament to get more boats, and more boats means bigger cash payouts! We will also be giving away a monster prize package for the winners of the casting competition!
Also after the weigh-ins, we will be holding our free BBQ at the Nauti Goose! What’s better than amazing free food after a day of fishing on the bay?
The entry fee for the tournament is a $200 purchase of Shimano, G.Loomis, Power Pro, or Jackall products through Susquehanna Fishing Tackle, Inc. or SFTtackle.com per team. The great thing about this type of entry fee is that you get to keep your purchase, so no one walks away empty-handed.
