Question: If you get your bait hung up right in the middle of where your fish are biting do you just break it off or do you get on top of the snag/fish to try to free it up?

Did you know that when you break your line off that the line between you and your snag is now up to 25% weaker? This is why I always keep extra spools of line on-board. I will always cut that stressed portion of line off and retie. This tip will keep you from breaking off that fish of a lifetime or keep you from snapping off that game changing fish in a tournament.
